Earth Day 2021: Bettersize’s pledge to “Restore Our Earth”

If the tumultuous events of 2020 have taught us anything, it is that caring for the environment will result in healthy well-being and sustainable development. After suffering from a cascade of calamities in 2020, the celebration of this year’s Earth Day comes just in time. 

Earth day, originating from the modern environmental movement in 1970, takes place every year on April 22. It aims to raise public awareness of threats to our planet’s health and encourage everybody to take actions to protect our environment across the globe.

According to EARTHDAY.ORG, this year’s theme is “Restore Our Earth”. In order to honor the planet, we turn the lights off for one hour in Bettersie Shenzhen office, and gather together to brainstorm what we could do and pledge what we are going to do to save our planet. 

For example, buy more earth-friendly products, use paper straw instead of plastic straw, unselect disposable cutlery when ordering take-out, etc. 

We also carry out earth day themed coloring activity and all of us are very happy to participate and have fun as well.

It is believed that small changes to the life will bring a huge impact on our environment.  Preserving the environment is everyone’s responsibility and each of us will continue to do so.
